11.2024 Notes
High of the Month -
Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for and I strive to practice gratitude every day, but it’s wonderful to have a dedicated day each year where we can pause, reflect, and really see that there is beauty all around and so much to be grateful for.

Salt & Stone Bergamot & Hinoki Body Wash (currently 20% off)
Merit Flush Balm in Rouge (currently 20% off)

Monthly Favorites -
Wearing - Gap Relaxed Cable-Knit Sweater. I’ve been looking for the perfect cable-knit sweater for years, no exaggeration. The ones I fell in love with were always way overpriced and the ones I’d find at the thrift store were never quite right. One of my favorite women to follow on Instagram (you should follow her too @alinarinacio) posted about this sweater and it looked perfect. I usually try my best to shop sustainably and avoid fast fashion, but it seemed like my hunt was over and once I got it in the mail, I had no regrets. I wanted it pretty oversized so I bought both a M and L to try on, and decided to stick with the M. I’m happy that the sweater itself is over 50% natural fibers, which is usually my rule of thumb when purchasing clothing. It looks like it’s sold out at the moment but I’ve seen a few sizes pop back up throughout the weekend!
Beauty - I was kindly gifted a few items from Primally Pure and I can finally say, I understand the hype. I’ve been using the Almond + Vanilla Body Butter and my skin has felt so smooth and moisturized. I also tried the Creamsicle Lip Balm and despite the dropping temperature, my lips haven’t been chapped at all. I know lip balm is just lip balm, but making sure you’re using non-toxic products on your skin, especially your lips where you’re unintentionally consuming the product throughout the day, is super important. I’m excited to try their deodorant and skin products soon too. They’re currently running a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, but if you’re reading when it’s over, you can use my code for 10% off your purchase: KIM.CARV
Eating - I never expected homemade gnocchi to be so easy to make but I made this Gluten Free Sweet Potato Ricotta Gnocchi earlier this month and my husband and I scarfed it down. A no leftovers kind of dinner. So good.
Health - All things Perelel Health. I haven’t shared too much about this recently, but I am still on a fertility journey and Perelel vitamins have been so supportive during this time. I am currently taking the Hormonal Balance Support to keep my cycle regular (one of the only products that works for me) and the Conception Support Pack. Having all the vitamins I need in order to support conception all in one place really takes the guess work out of it. I will be honest and say these do taste a little funny, so if you’re easily nauseated, they may not be a fit for you, but for the time being, I’m willing to overlook that because of all the benefits. They’re currently running a Black Friday sale but if you’re reading this after, you can shop Perelel with my discount code KIMC15 for 15% off.
Watching - My husband and I just finished season 2 of The Big Door Prize on Apple TV+ with the most bizarre cliffhanger… just for it to get cancelled. Bummer. But if you’re looking for a show that’s equal parts funny, suspenseful, and sentimental with quirky characters, I still think it’s worth a watch. And then once you’re done with it, we can talk about what the heck we think happens at the end.
Reading - Wuthering Heights and Pictures of You. I am slowly reading through all the classics, Wuthering Heights being one of them, and while this definitely wasn’t my favorite of the ones I’ve read so far, I still enjoyed it. I read Pictures of You afterwards because I wanted something lighter, and I enjoyed that too - it was a story containing both a little suspense and romance, a super easy read, and I was able to finish in just a few days.
Listening - Grounded Wellness podcast by Primally Pure. This podcast shares just about everything I love to learn about - health, wellness, honest conversations about farming, nature, beauty, and so on. I’m not one to watch a podcast (I normally listen to episodes on walks) but bonus points for this being recorded outside, in a beautiful setting, completely surrounded by nature. So different from all the other podcasts out there.
I’m grateful for another life-giving and joy-filled November. I hope you had a beautiful month as well!
